April Showers - IBA Challenge
Our challenge this month is April Showers ....I'm sure hoping that they bring May Flowers!
Using my Accuquilt die cutter and beautiful #IslandBatik fabrics, I cut these cute umbrellas. Now what to do with them????
So, here is my challenge to you, the reader ....if you were to receive these cut shapes as a gift (unattached to anything) what would you want to do with them? The most appealing, to me, answer will receive them. This will be open for suggestion through April 30.
If I received just the shapes I would attempt to make a sunbonnet Sue and sunbonnet sam holding the umbrellas in a field of flowers
ReplyDeleteA nice way to modernize SS/SS. If you get this, let me know your email.
DeleteI have some gorgeous Japanese black silk with a raindrop pattern that I want to use as a background for some umbrellas...been keeping it in the closet for a long time! These umbrellas would be perfect with it!!
ReplyDeleteSounds stunning ....if you get this, let me know your email.
Deletecute umbrellas, count me out of the giveaway but I thought the sunbonnet idea was cute! I think they are too big for a pincushion, could they be used as pockets if they are upside down or a little girl dress maybe?
ReplyDeleteAll clever ideas....thanks for stopping by.
DeleteI think a nice table runner or a cute little wall quilt for the bathroom..... happyness04431@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteLovely, look for a private email from me!
DeleteLove the idea of the umbrellas upside down in a pond with a cute little frog or duckie sticking out
ReplyDeleteThat would be really cute. If you get this, let me know your email.
DeleteI think I would make a wall hanging or table runner that has a cat and a dog holding the umbrellas, sitting in a small garden with rain coming down. I think that would be a cute take on raining cats and dogs. Rina
ReplyDeleteClever....Look for a private email from me!
DeleteMy daughter lives in an apartment in Minnesota. She has been wishing she could come up with something to hang on the outside door of her apartment. This would be the perfect thing for Spring! Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea....if you get this, let me know your email.
DeleteI would make 2 wall hangings. Adding some rain boots to one and a matching rain coat to the second.
ReplyDeleteSounds super cute...if you get this, let me know your email.
DeleteIf I were to receive these, I would use them with my Row by Row quilt from last year! There's lots of raindrops and umbrellas in them!!
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts exactly!! There were some cute ones for sure. If you get this, let me know your email.
DeleteI would make a small seasonal wall hanging for my 5 year old granddaughter. This one would be for Spring. I have a Halloween hanging almost finished for her room. Thanks for the chance to win your lovely cut-outs.
ReplyDeleteLovely....Look for a private email from me!
DeleteA good friend of mine is struggling through college, and I'd make something for her table, something to encourage her to keep going for the next 18 months and make it to the end. =) dezertsuz at gmail
ReplyDeleteNice of you to think of her and encourage her! Look for a private email from me!
DeleteAnd I don't know if I ever did let you know that mine arrived and I LOVE them. That's a project I'm planning for late summer for my friend.
