As part of this collection’s featured design, I created Fall Festival. I had tested this pattern a year ago and called it Pumpkin Patch, so when this particular collection was issued, I knew I wanted to be able to feature the fabrics in this design and renamed the pattern.
This is a multi-block design – a Sunflower; Leaves; Acorns
and Pumpkins.
Start off simple with the center sunflower, leaves could be
scrappy or controlled, Leaves, acorns and pumpkins have some parts that are
paper pieced.
This pattern is available for PDF download on Craftsy or my website, including hard copy purchase with or without printed foundations at www.kissedquilts.com.
Free on-line tutorials will be presented as part of a closed Facebook group. You will be invited, upon purchase of pattern.

First I love your pumpkins. I would just as soon have the whole pattern at once. I can print it myself, no big deal nut those BOM's not my thing.

ReplyDeleteI have a question about which pins are best to use when sewing with batiks. My daughter bought me a beautiful jelly roll of batiks for Christmas and I love sewing with them, but my pins seem to leave small holes in the batik fabrics. Any suggestions would be great appreciated. grinnie1961 at gmail dot com
ReplyDeleteI like using very thin pins, but in general I find if I dab a previous pin prick or needle prick where the thread has been removed, with a bit of water, the threads relax and go back to their original state.

ReplyDeleteI'm certain that Island Batiks just loves you; you are a prolific quilter. Besides, the projects are gorgeous. I am not interested in a class at this time; I'm way too committed this year. If I were going to join, I would want just one copy that I could make copies of.

Gorgeous. I don't mind reprinting something, if it saves money on the pattern purchase. I have foundation paper I like.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt! I love everything “fall” so these colors and the pumpkins are perfect. Awesome job! I always find a tutorial, video or lots of pictures helpful when doing a SAL or following online. I don’t mind making my own copies of whatever is needed.
