Sintra Entrada in Broken Glass collection

I participated in an IGPost-Hop featuring Broken Glass fabric collection, so thought I'd post it here on my blog as well.

"Broken Glass from Island Batik, designed for Kathy Engle for Swan Amity Sheridan of Swan Amity Studios is landing in stores this month!  To help launch this happy line of fabric, I have joined a group of innovative designers to bring you an exciting list of ideas for smaller projects that make use of this beautiful batik."

This particular quilt could be made as small or as large as you'd like--it is easily adaptable given the small block size. Just add more! I've used the line and a couple of blenders to mock up my Sintra Entrada quilt design. Patterns available on my website.

Here was my inspiration -- the entry way to the Castle in Sintra Portugal

Do you like it? You could add borders as well if you want it bigger.

  1. Sintra Entrada is gorgeous, especially in the Broken Glass collection! I am often inspired by tile flooring too, or rugs with some patchwork design. I'd love to make your pattern for a baby quilt!

  2. I have been attracted to "the woven look" in quilts for some time now and your Sintra Entrada fits into that category. It looks lovely in the Broken Glass fabric collection but I can also picture it in basic solids. Great creation

  3. I do get a lot of inspiration from nature out on hikes with my husband and dog! Love Sintra Entrada! Beautiful fabrics!
