Commissions / T-shirt Quilts

T-shirt quilts (see pictures from last year's update) were quilted and bound.

Michelle's -- a return client from 14 years ago:

Here is one for her mom.

And one for herself:

Repairs completed (thanks to my mom) and I put a faux piped binding on it.

Wedding Quilt

It did get quilted and bound before being delivered to the client. Find additional photos in the Commissioned Quilts album on Facebook.

Thanks for following along. If I can be of service, please contact me.
Watch for a year-end update with lots of personal projects, samples, etc.

2024 Bloggers Monthly Color Challenge REVEAL

Have you had a fun year doing these blocks? Thanks for coming to see the compilation and reveal of my finished quilt!

All blocks

When Jen posted the original concept with all the fish color prompts and seaweed/coral visuals my mind went to actually each color being the fish in the sea. So I chose the background accordingly. When I saw how she was setting them in the quilt, then the sashings became the coral and seaweed that the fish are swimming around.

Auditions for borders

Quilting  -- used Goldfish pantograph (hand guided)

This beautiful backing from FreeSpirit - Kaffe Fasset -- has an amazing sateen sheen. Available! It is like the jewels of the sea as the perfect back for this fish inspired color challenge. I used 80/20 batting and Signature Orange Craze thread on top and Aurifil 4657 on the bottom.

In sunlight (left) and in the shade (right). In the shade it makes me think under the sea!

I used leftover backing for the binding.

Hope you've enjoyed this project. Share in the comments where we can see yours!
Happy New Year!
